These Boots Were Made for Walkin'

Hi everyone!  Hope you all had a great day!
Skirt:  Target (Available here)
Blazer:  New York & Company
Today was still a little chilly in my area, but I finally decided it was time to skip tights!!!  I went with my knee-high boots for warmth, but it was so freeing to be able to wear a skirt without tights!!!

Tights can be fun, but I get lazy and find them to be too much work sometimes.

Tank:  Old Navy Petites (Available here)
Boots:  Payless (old)
Tote:  The Limited
I paired my boots with a brocade A-line skirt and simple tank and blazer.  The tank was a little low-cut for work, so I added the scarf for coverage and a little extra warmth during the work day.
Scarf:  Paul Smith (15+ years old)
Earrings:  The Limited (Similar here)
Removing the scarf makes the outfit perfect for transitioning to dinner or drinks after work.
Ring:  Purchased at local jewelry show
Howlite necklace:  eBay

Pattern Play

Today's look is inspired by spring.  The nautical stripes on the top, floral scarf, and fresh navy, white and green color palette all make me think of spring.
Top:  The Limited (Available here)
Pants:  The Limited (Available here)
Mixing patterns has been a trend the last season or so and will be continuing into this spring.
Purse:  The Limited
The top and scarf have a somewhat casual feel, but the navy trousers help dress the look up enough for work.  I added a matching navy blazer for work since it was rather chilly.

I love the tassels on the scarf!!!
Scarf:  The Limited (Available here)
Bracelet:  Target (old)
Ring:  Gift-vintage (Similar here)
Shoes:  Target (Sold out in navy; find other colors here)

Circles and Lines

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Today, I chose my favorite monochromatic color palette and mixed textures and prints to keep the look interesting.

Satchel:  The Limited (Available here)

The herringbone blazer and stripes in the scarf play off of the circles on the scarf and polkadots on the blouse.

The quilted satchel and striped bangle adds more texture and subtle print to the look.

Fine and Dandy

Today I was Inspired by menswear. I pulled my vest from the back of my closet and paired it with my favorite black suit.
Suit:  The Limited Black Collection (Similar pants here; Similar vest here; Similar blazer here)
I have worn vests off and on since junior high school. I have never stopped liking them, but for some reason, I find my vest to be an occasional piece that I only put out a few times a year.
Belt:  The Limited
Tank:  Old Navy Petites (Similar here)
I love the look of traditionally masculine looks, like this three piece suit, on women.  The polkadot scarf, worn like a necktie, adds a slightly quirky touch.  It also helped conceal cleavage during work hours.
Scarf:  The Limited (old)
Shoes:  Target (old)
Menswear inspired fashion was very popular on fall runways, so this outfit feels right on trend but very "me" at the same time.

Lest the look be too masculine, I wore my hair down and threw on a cuff to give it that feminine mix.
Cuff:  The Limited
Tote:  New York & Company (Similar here)
Do you have items in your wardrobe of which you don't want to let go, but that you don't wear too often?

Do you like the menswear look on women?
