Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

Source:  Fanpop.com
To those who celebrate, I'd like to wish you all a very merry Christmas!  I hope your day was filled with love, laughter, and family.

For those of you who don't celebrate, happy holidays or happy Hump Day!!

I've had a wonderful day, and I've used the last few days off work to set a web re-design into motion.  I hope to have a new site design live around the beginning of the year!  New year - new look! :-D

Back tomorrow with more NewYear's Eve fashion ideas!

12 Days of Holiday: Candy Cane Casual

Happy Holidays!

Jeans:  Torrid (Available here)
Scarf:  The Limited (old) (Similar here)
Today's casual look is a holiday-inspired outfit I wore this past weekend to an ornament exchange party.  The party was casual, but I wanted an outfit that felt a little bit festive.
Blazer:  Torrid
I started with this red and white striped scarf that always reminds me of candy canes and added a black and white striped blazer for a fun mixed striped effect.
Camisole:  LOFT (Available here)
Boots:  Fergalicious by Fergie (Available here)
Purse:  Target (Available in navy here)
Bracelets:  The Limited
Earrings:  The Limited (old)
The green purse adds to the holiday color theme.

12 Days of Holiday: Casual Glam

Happy Sunday, everyone!
Jeans:  The Limited (Available here)
Jacket:  Torrid (Sold out on-line; may be available in stores)
Today's holiday look is something I would wear to an evening holiday house party or a low-key evening out.
Camisole:  Ann Taylor (Available here)
Necklace:  LOFT (Sold out on-line; may be available in stores)
Shoes:  Target (Available here)
Purse:  The Limited
The sequins, silk, and rhinestones feel festive and fun, while the jeans and relaxed shapes keep the look laid-back.

To make the look more casual or snow-friendly, you could switch the heels out for a pair of knee-high or over-the-knee boots.

Bracelets:  LOFT (Available here and here)
What you wear for an evening holiday house party or holiday evening out?

P.S.  Sorry for the wrinkles on my shirt.  I decided to snap pics before I got the iron out!  :-)

12 Days of Holiday: Festive for Work

Today starts my holiday fashion series.  I have twelve days of holiday looks planned.
Dress:  LOFT Petites (last year) (Similar here)
Blazer:  The Limited (Available here)

Hopefully, my outfits will give you ideas for a range of holiday events, from fabulous parties to running errands to New Year's Eve rocking.

Today's outfit is a recent attempt to incorporate a little holiday glitz and glam into a work look.  The red dress is made more festive with a velvet sparkly belt and faux leather lapel blazer.
Belt:  LOFT (Available here)
Tights:  New York & Company (Available here)
Clutch:  The Limited (Available here)
Boots:  Fergalicious by Fergie (Available here)
I think this is a perfect day-to-night look or would look great for a work holiday party.
Bangles:  LOFT (Available here and here)

How do you transition work looks for evening holiday celebrations?

Complementary Colors

Today, my look is inspired by a small fashion spread in the recent issue of one of my many fashion magazines (though for the life of me, I couldn't find the article again).  The spread showed burgundy mixed with forest green in looks that I found very fresh.
Dress:  LOFT Petites (Available here)
Blazer:  New York & Company (Similar here)
Purse:  The Limited (old)
Boots:  Payless (old) (Similar here)
I was planning on wearing this before Christmas, but my bout with the flu kept that from happening.  Burgundy mixed with forest green is a slightly unexpected take on the traditional Christmas color combination.
Necklace:  New York & Company
Tights:  Target (Similar here)
Thankfully, this outfit still works after Christmas because the look isn't "themed" and burgundy and forest are complementary shades that work well in fall and winter.

Would you wear red and green together?

See this blazer styled differently here and here.

Christmas Sparkle

Happy Holidays, everyone!

Today, I wore one of my favorite looks.

Blouse:  Gap (old) (Similar here and here)
Blazer:  The Limited (old) (Similar here)
Pants:  The Limited (Available here)
Shoes:  Target (old)
This sequin top has multi-color metallic sequins, which makes it really versatile.

Paired with the champagne blazer, the sequins on this blouse remind me of champagne bubbles.  The look feels super festive, and with a great clutch, would be great for a New Year's Eve out with friends.
Satchel:  The Limited (Available here)
Earrings:  The Limited (Similar here)
Rings:  New York & Company
Do you have any exciting plans for New Year's Eve?  What do you plan on wearing?

Casual Christmas Eve

Hi everyone, and Merry Christmas!!!

I have been sick with the flu and out of commission the bulk of this past week.  I'm finally starting to feel better and am back to posting!

Last night, I went to a casual family Christmas gathering, and this is what I wore:

Blouse:  Ann Taylor Petites (Available here)
Tank: The Limited
Jeans:  The Limited (Available here)
Shoes:  Target (old)
I wanted an outfit that wasn't too dressed up, but that still had some holiday flair.

I paired dark denim jeans with my green wrap blouse and gold jewelry for a bit of understated glamour.
Necklace:  Target
Bow earrings:  The Limited (Available here)
Satchel:  The Limited (Available here)
What did you wear for the holiday festivities?

Happy Holidays!
