Fashion Favorites: White Blazer, 6 Ways

Blazers are a major staple in my closet, and this white blazer is one of my favorites.
This white blazer has a slightly cropped shape, making it flattering for petite figures.  I love this particular blazer with pants, dresses, or skirts, making it super versatile.

Here are some of the ways I've worn it:

With an LBD for work
The Essential LBD
With a heart print blouse and ballet flats
Hearts Afire
Springy with a green pencil skirt and floral
Spring To It
With faux leather for warm weather edge
What's Black and White (and a little red) All Over?
With soft blue and greys for an easy-going evening look
Blue & Neutrals
With red and black for a graphic pop
Red Pants, White Jacket

Sun and Sky

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great day!  Things are pretty frenzied at work right now, so I'm doing my best to squeeze in new blog posts.

Pants:  The Limited (Sold out in blue; Available in navy and black here)
Blouse:  The Limited (Available here)
Today's featured look is inspired by the summer sky and sun.

I paired blue pants with an off-white blouse and white blazer.  I added a yellow clutch for a pop of sunny color.

Blazer:  The Limited (old)
Shoes:  Target (old)
Clutch:  The Limited (Available here)
Necklace:  The Limited (Available here)
I added grey heels and silver and blue jewelry to finish off the look.

I love simple, streamlined looks like this for work during the summer.  The pieces are easy and comfortable, the colors light and airy.

Bracelets:  Target and The Limited
How do you make your work wardrobe more summer friendly?

Blue & Neutrals

For work today, I paired my blue skinnies with a printed tank and black blazer.
Pants:  The Limited (Available here)
Top:  Forever 21+ (Available here)
Blazer: The Limited (Similar here)
I originally tried this outfit with a white blazer and grey heels for a softer, more spring-y look.
Blazer:  The Limited
The hemline of this top is longer in the front, and the top has a tulip hem in the back.  I like the idea of the longer black blazer for work as the fit of the blazer conceals more of the top and dresses the look up a bit.
Bracelet: The Limited (old)
Heels:  Target (old)
Heels:  Target (Available here)
Purse:  The Limited
Both looks are a little more casual than I usually prefer to wear to work, but I dig the relaxed, slightly rock-n-roll vibe of the white blazer look.
Purse:  Target (Available here)
Earrings:  Target
Which look do you prefer?

Hope you all had a great day!!!

If you dress for it, will it come?

Well, we are expecting snow this weekend!!!  So much for spring weather anytime soon (grumble, grumble)!
Peplum blazer:  Target Petites (Available here)
Pants: The Limited (Available here)
Feeling the urge to bring on spring, I chose a fresh and spring-y color palette of navy, coral, and white.  Polkadots feel happy and always make me think of spring.
Cuff:  Express
Shoes:  Target (Available in other colors here)
Top:  Forever 21+
I've been trying to think of more fun and trendy ways to wear my several pairs of dress pants.  I find them to be the most work-appropriate pants; however, I find that they can get dreadfully boring and sometimes stodgy.

I am not a fan of a super-classic or preppy style, so I like that the trendy peplum and bold cuff add in a little of my own flair.
Tote:  The Limited (old)
Do you wear dress pants for work?  How do you make them more stylish and more "you"?

Today, I played with color blocking, mixing red pants with a black bow blouse and white jacket.

I like the simplicity of this look, which also allowed for distinctive accessories like arrow bangles and a polka dot clutch.
Bangles:  Forever 21 (No longer available on-line; may be available in stores)
Necklace:  The Limited (Available )
Clutch:  The Limited (Available here)
Stud earrings:  The Limited (Available here)

Black and White Delight

Hi everyone!   Holiday hustle and bustle and a hectic work schedule has kept me too busy for blogging the last several days, but I'm back today with this black and white combo.  It's also my 100th blog post!  Thanks for joining me on my new adventure!
Jacket:  The Limited
Pants:  The Limited (Similar here)
Blouse:  New York & Company
Purse:  The Limited (Similar here)
Ring:  H&M
Black and white is a perennial favorite.  It never really goes out of fashion as a color combination, but it's having a serious moment in fashion right now.  It was all over Fall 2012's fashion runways and is expected to be a huge trend for Spring 2013 as many designers featured the graphic color combination during their spring shows.

The Essential LBD

There's a reason the little black dress is so ubiquitous.  It's a great basic that can be accessorized in a myriad of ways to fit your personal style and moods.
Dress:  Target (Similar:  http://www.zappos.com/anne-klein-shift-dress-ak-black)
Blazer:  The Limited (Similar: http://us.asos.com/ASOS-Blazer-With-Roll-Sleeve/y44i6/?iid=2156705&cid=13632&Rf900=1632&Rf-200=5&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=White&mporgp=L0FTT1MvQVNPUy1CbGF6ZXItV2l0aC1Sb2xsLVNsZWV2ZS9Qcm9kLw..)

I got this dress for only $6.00 (Don't you love a great bargain?) and then had it altered to perfection.
Shoes:  Target
Necklace:  The Limited
Cuff:  Old (New York & Company?)
Today, I styled my black dress for a look that I like to call "Creative Corporate."  The black and white color combination is graphic; the shapes are no-nonsense, but the statement necklace and "bondage" sandals add a funkier vibe.

Do you have an LBD?  How do you like to style it?

I Heart Fridays!

Casual Friday!
Jeans:  The Limited (Similar:  here)
Blazer:  The Limited (Similar:  here)
Blouse:  New York & Company (old)

Today, I paired a pair of skinny bootcut jeans with this fun heart print blouse I picked up last Valentine's Day.  I added a white tank to provide more coverage during work hours.

To add a slightly edgier touch to the look, I added my favorite gold cuff and gold spiral earrings.  It was a bit of serendipity that the wave of the earrings matched the waves of the ruffles on the top!
